Working from home is both a beautiful privilege and incredibly lonely. But coworking spaces often feel...corporate and isolating. You can work in the same room as someone for weeks on end and never really form a friendship or connection.
And yet, we've seen the magic that happens when creative, driven women come together to support one another, brainstorm ideas, collaborate on projects, and act as a sounding board.
So this fall we're curating a pop-up work party series for Los Angeles-based bossladies. Because in a city where THIS many women are doing cool things, there is no reason why we should do it alone.
We wanted to make sure that at Work Sesh, unlike our experiences at coworking spaces, women actually get to know one another-- and the infamous collaborations that people claim will come of a coworking membership are ACTUALLY possible here.
We'll begin each event sitting down together over a cup of coffee or tea, introducing ourselves, and checking in. We'll go around the room to hear where each woman is at with her business that week, things she is currently working on, things she needs help with, and collaborations she's interested in finding. Then, we'll DO THE WORK. Bring your laptop and your notebook because for three hours we'll each be working on our own projects-- or brainstorming collaborations with friends or new connections. We'll circle up again before we leave to hear what people have coming up in the week ahead and how the group can support them.
